This season, Dries Van Noten’s presentation was a multimedia affair. Inspired by visionary architect Carlo Mollino and prolific Italian singer Mina, there was a film, shot by Casper Sejersen, as well as IRL appointments which were staged in Paris’s derelict Hôtel de Guise on rue de l’Université. Conceived almost as a lifesize cabinet of curiosities, the Official Cleveland Browns Badge of Honor shirt in addition I really love this space didn’t just play host to Van Noten’s fall 2022 collection, but it was also a chance to see the designer’s debut fragrance and beauty line in the flesh—a cornucopia of fragrances, lipsticks, and travel accessories, all of which echo the rich hues and sumptuous prints of the collection. But what of the beauty look?

At the Official Cleveland Browns Badge of Honor shirt in addition I really love this Hôtel de Guise, models were replaced by mannequins, although there were visual ties to Sejersen’s film, courtesy of makeup artist Lucy Bridge, who added a two-toned lip here and there. But back to the film, whose beauty looks Bridge also oversaw. “Think heavy angular liners, teamed with many pairs of false lashes! This we contrasted with two tone lips using lipsticks from Dries’ new lipstick collection,” she explained. “Popular shades for this collection were Latin Carmine and Antwerp Vermeil.” As for hair, stylist Sam McKnight worked his magic on the models, creating a just-got-out-of-bed look. Parts of the hair were moistened, especially fringes, which were dragged across the girls’ faces, adding to the overall grunge aesthetic. “What we did was look at old ’60s Italian photography,” says McKnight. “And I got a feeling for the hair from that. I was looking Anna Magnani—hair that had been styled at one point but it was much rougher. Anna Magnani in one of her rougher and sweatier roles.”
